Bodrum

Bodrum, called Halicarnassus in ancient times. It is a lively tourist town and the southern Aegean's most attractive resort. Narrow streets wind their way down to the twin harbours where local boats offer daytrips to nearby islands, pristine beaches and seaside restaurants along the magnificent coastline. Bodrum is also home to the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the crumbling remains of one of the Seven Wonders of the worlds. How amazing!
Bodrum retains its charming Turkish character, perfecting the balance between exotic bazzars and landscapes. Bodrum is a good starting point for a journey along the Carian coast with its spectacular scenery, sandy beaches, rocky coves and inlets resembling small fjords.
